TOKYO Smart Culture Project

This project digitizes, records, and preserves cultural resources such as the collections of metropolitan cultural institutions and their exhibitions, performances, and other activities, and provides various forms of viewing experiences. We aim to become a "An environment where anyone can enjoy art and culture anytime and anywhere" by making cultural resources available online, creating new viewing experiences using cutting-edge technologies, and improving the information environment at each facility in an integrated manner.

Sponsor: Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Metropolitan History and Culture Foundation

Viewing support web app "Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum Map & Guide"

Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum

Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum Map & Guide is a web application that supports visitors touring the museum, providing commentary on the highlights of historical buildings as if they were being towed around the museum by a curator. It also features an AI audio guide, a map mode that displays the current location, and an AR mode that explains old photographs of historical buildings and old tools. This not only improves the convenience of strolling around the museum, but also creates opportunities for a wider range of generations to take an interest in and deepen their understanding of historical buildings.
