Tokyo Metropolitan Government-run cultural facilities, including art museums, museums, and galleries, will be holding "Summer Night Museum 2026" again this summer!
Every Friday night in August, the museum will extend its opening hours until 9 PM. After 5 PM, admission is free for students, and general visitors and those 65 and older can enjoy special rates. Furthermore, we offer discounts at participating restaurants and cafes within the facility, among other benefits.
In addition, a mini-concert titled "Museum × Music!" will be held in collaboration with Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre.
Come and experience a summer night at the museum filled with new discoveries, featuring unique exhibitions and music!

Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum "Special Evening Opening: Downtown Summer Evening (2026)"

At dusk, when the heat subsides, the buildings in the park are lit with lanterns and lights to enjoy the atmosphere of a summer evening.
This year, we will strengthen safety measures against guerrilla thunderstorms, introduce a quota system, sell online tickets in advance, and change the opening time. There are some differences from previous years, so please check the official website for details.
