The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture manages cultural facilities such as the Edo-Tokyo Museum, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Garden Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, and Tokyo Art Theater. In addition, we have implemented a wide range of projects such as the Arts Council Tokyo and subsidized cultural activities to promote the culture of the capital, Tokyo, and to pass on and develop the historical and cultural heritage of Edo Tokyo. It also plays a role in cultural administration as a policy coordination organization of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and is a designated manager who manages and operates metropolitan cultural facilities.
For this reason, the Foundation will manage and operate Tokyo's cultural facilities to the satisfaction of their users while taking advantage of their unique characteristics. At the same time, the Foundation will continue to develop rich and attractive businesses based on the business plan proposed as the designated manager. In addition, as a public interest corporation, we will further fulfill our mission of contributing to the inheritance of Tokyo's history and the promotion of art and culture.
Needless to say, the Foundation will make more efforts than ever to operate such cultural facilities and develop attractive businesses, but in order to develop more flexible and diverse businesses that will be familiar to many people, we need your support. Accordingly, we would like to ask for your understanding and approval of the activities of the Foundation, and for your special support.
