About Partnership with Universities

This is a membership system for students and faculty of universities and vocational schools to make casual use of Tokyo's cultural facilities and to deepen their education and sensibility by experiencing real art.

Benefits available to member schools

1. Free admission to permanent exhibitions and collections
Students, faculty and staff of Partnership member schools can enter the permanent exhibitions of each facility free of charge.

Students, faculty and staff of Partnership member schools can enter designated special and special exhibitions at discounted rates.

3. Invitation to concerts, plays, and other performances
Concerts and plays sponsored by Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Tokyo Art Theater, etc. can be enjoyed by invitation and special treatment. In addition, we also offer invitations to rehearsals and backstage tours of sponsored performances.

4. Holding of permanent exhibition guided tours
Volunteer staff will guide you through permanent exhibitions and collection exhibitions.
5. Cooperation in educational activities
We will dispatch curators, cooperate in the content design of lectures, and provide venues for lectures.

  1. STEP1 Enrollment Application (School → Foundation)
    Submit a copy of the "Enrollment Application Form" and the latest "School Basic Survey Student/Faculty Status Sheet."
  2. STEP2 Request membership fee (Foundation → School)
  3. STEP3 Payment of membership fee (School → Foundation)
  4. STEP4 Issuance of membership cards (The Foundation → Schools)
  5. Start using the service

membership period

After payment of the annual membership fee is confirmed, we will issue a "membership card of the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Partnership.".
In principle, the membership period is from April 1 to the end of March of the following year.
