Facilities managed and operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture comply with the Act on the Rational Use of Energy and the Ordinance on the Environment to Ensure the Health and Safety of Tokyo Citizens (Environmental Preservation Ordinance), and strive to properly manage resources and energy, including improving the operation of lighting and air conditioning equipment, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In particular, large-scale facilities such as Tokyo Metropolitan Edo-Tokyo Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo have drawn up plans to combat global warming in accordance with the Environmental Preservation Ordinance and are working on these initiatives.
