Welcome Youth 2024

A selection of art museums, museums, theaters, and halls in Tokyo is thrilled to present “Welcome Youth 2024.” This special initiative invites young individuals 18 years and under to delve into the arts and culture scene in a relaxed and accessible manner.
During the period from February to March 2024, a select number of 100 young individuals will have the unique opportunity to attend various performances through a lottery system.Additionally, from March 1, 2024 (Friday) to April 7, 2024 (Sunday), specific exhibitions will be accessible to young people at no cost.
Additionally, starting from March 1 (Friday), visitors will have the opportunity to explore the museum and art museum while enjoying an immersive experience with an original story through sound augmented reality (AR).
This is a unique opportunity to experience the rich cultural offerings at our metropolitan facilities.

Target Performances

Youth under the age of 18 (born on or after April 2, 2005) are cordially invited to attend an array of performances scheduled at the metropolitan theater and hall listed below. (Please note that the application process and the performances will be conducted exclusively in Japanese.)

Target Exhibitions

Youth under the age of 18 (born on or after April 2, 2005) are granted complimentary access to designated exhibitions throughout the event period.

Sound AR Content

Starting from March 1, 2024 (Friday), we are excited to introduce “Haru no Hikari”, an AR tour of the metropolitan museum and art museum using the Locatone™ app. This immersive experience is accessible to anyone with a smartphone and earphones. Immerse yourself in the acoustic blend of the real and virtual worlds as you explore the museum and art museum while listening to the captivating story. (Available in Japanese only)
