Tokyo Metropolitan cultural facilities will hold their first Summer Night Museum events in four years.

From July 20 to August 31, 2023, there will be special offers available every Friday night.

5 facilities will participate this year, including TOKYO METROPOLITAN ART MUSEUM, TOKYO METROPOLITAN TEIEN ART MUSEUM, TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC ART MUSEUM, and MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART TOKYO, with TOKYO SHIBUYA KOEN-DORI GALLERY added to the lineup.

Come enjoy a relaxed summer evening exhibition. The venues look forward to welcoming you.

    The event extends the facility’s opening hours, allowing you to experience it on a summer evening.
    On the Shitamachi-naka Street, where shops reside within restored historic buildings, the nighttime ambiance is transformed with the glow from the building lights and paper lanterns. This creates a unique, bustling atmosphere that’s a different experience from the museum day-to-day. Come feel the cool breeze of the evening among traditional Japanese homes.
