Welcome Youth 2025

The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture will be holding “Welcome Youth 2025” to make art more accessible for everyone eighteen years old and under. Take this chance to explore a variety of art! Visit the metropolitan cultural facilities (halls, museums) where exciting new discoveries await!​​

< content>
1. 100 people will be invited by lottery to 7 performances to be held at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in January~February 2025.
2. From March 1 (Sat) ~ April 6 (Sun), 2025, admission to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museums and Museum is free.
3. Starting March 1, 2025 (Sat), ‘Sound AR content’ will be available, allowing visitors to explore museums and art galleries with immersive audio storytelling.

Sound AR Contents

The cat’s true identity is a former human!
A mysterious encounter changes my world a little.

 

Starts on Saturday, March 1, 2025!
Sound AR content “Kioku wo Tadore!” allows visitors to enjoy a tour of five metropolitan museums and art museums as if they have entered the world of a story while listening to audio on their smartphones.

 

This content utilizes the Sound AR service “Locatone™” and allows you to enjoy a new kind of acoustic experience in which the real world is mixed with the sounds of the virtual world. With your smartphone in hand, why not take a journey through the world of art with a mysterious cat? (Available in Japanese only)

 

*Locatone is a service developed by Sony to enjoy Sound AR (a new type of acoustic experience that mixes the real world with the sounds of the virtual world).
