Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo

The museum opened in Kiba Park in 1995. It holds exhibits on a wide range of contemporary art including paintings, sculpture, fashion, architecture, and design, as well as solo exhibits by major artists in Japan and overseas, and exhibits from the museum's collection of about 5,500 works.

Closing Days

Mondays (When Monday falls on national holiday closed on the following weekday), New Year holiday season and exhibition replacement period and other temporary closures due to special circumstances.

Access

1) 9 minutes’ walk from Exit B2 of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line.

2) 13 minutes’ walk from Exit A3 of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on the Toei Oedo Line.

3) Either: 15 minutes’ walk from Exit 3 of Kiba Station on theTokyo Metro Tozai Line Or Take the Toei Bus bound for Tokyo
Sukaitsuri-Station or the one bound for Kinshicho-eki-mae , and get off at "Tokyo Gendai Bijutsukan-mae（Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo）"

4) Either: 15 minutes’ walk from Exit A4 of Kikukawa Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. Or Take the Toei Bus bound for Shinbashi or the one bovor "Tokyo　Sta Marunouchi-kitaguchi" , and get off at "Tokyo Gendai Bijutsukan-mae（Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo）"

5) Take the Toei Bus bound for "Kinshicho-eki-mae" from Terminal 2 at the Marunouchi North Exit of Tokyo Station, and get off at "Tokyo Gendai Bijutsukan-mae（Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo）".
