    Olafur Eliasson: Sometimes the river is the bridge

    • This large solo exhibition presents the work of Olafur Eliasson, an artist who is highly regarded around the world for his efforts to promote sustainable development through his art. One of his signature early works, “Beauty” (1993), where a rainbow emerges in the darkness, will be on display alongside other interactive works!

    Art & Power: From Pharaohs to Daimyōs. Masterworks from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

    • This exhibition brings together antique and modern artworks from both East and West related to the theme of “art & power,” spanning from sculptures of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs to jewelry of 20th century millionaires. Around half of the works have never before been shown in Japan. Not to be missed are “Night Attack on the Sanjo Palace, from the Illustrated Scrolls of the Events of the Heiji Era (Heiji monogatari emaki)” and “Minister Kibi’s Adventures in China”, which are returning to Japan.
